01010010 01001001 01010011 01000101  -  We begin our quest on the scales of life

I- The newborn wolf cub: The first emotion reflected in his tired eyes is that of mystery; a
curious devotion to the enigma of the moonbeams that cut through the trees, reflecting in
his inexperienced gaze. He calls out to the blinding light, beckons for its shadowed silence,
and eventually finds comfort in the embrace of mother's love. In that moment, he hears no
cruel sound his purity can't contest. He shuts
out the light as he slowly drifts away to rest.  // Perfection was a value whose worth /
                                                              //was queried due to Perfection's birth./
01000111 01010010 01001111 01010111  // She was born truly, the Perfect child /
//of Perfect essence, and all Perfection/
ii-The willow sapling: As its head finally peaks // now-noteworthy from all inspection. /
from the ignorance of the ground, it is struck
dumb - amazed - by the chloroform brightness that now screams for its attention. It feels
no desire more than its wish to reach out to the vacant wonders around it. Our world is all
that guides it; no more. It reaches out to its
surroundings, expands, and begins to explore. // Thus Perfection grew in Perfect time /
                                                              //as she began to learn society's norm/
01001101 01010101 01010011 01000101  // and how to follow with Perfect form, /
                                                                             //growing now to be culture's most fine/
iii-The adolescent bottlenose: At the point of //Example, the Epitome of all mankind./
paradigm's fault, he finds himself ensnared in
the beautiful clutches of drunken wonder. Unable to see free of his enfeebled empathy, he
greets his pod as a young enemy, and abandons it as an elder one. Leaving all he's known
behind him, he joins the company of fellows on the blind highway of dreams. His knowledge
is distracted and his melodies woven by erratic thread with proud cacophony in the seams.

01010000 01000101 01010010 01000011 01000101 01001001 01010110 01000101

IV-The flourishing jasmine: "Learn" is all it can hear - all it knows - from the calming call of
westbound winds. Taking this summon in stride, it starts to study the world that it knows -
from the homely rust on yonder lamppost to the fractured fences masking dewed textures.
"Map and Outline." Through study it learns of navigation, the world's secrets and how they
can be bested. Now possessing knowledge, it
can reach its vines out to the world untested. // Yet as life matured, Perfection tired /
// of her own - she seemingly expired  /
01000110 01000101 01000001 01010010  //from the monotony of Perfect deceit./
//Hence her only key of Perfect C Major/
V- The mature lion: Intimidation takes hold as// urged envy upon accidentals' wager./
his timid eyes clash with the gaze of one who
has already traversed the scales - and bested them. As the sun takes hold as the king of
the sky, the king of the pack shall be decided. He swallows doubt for drive and unleashes
his mighty roar. His opponent hence responds,
and they clash in the eyes of new-found war. // As imPerfection swarmed her sight  /
// it would not let her go, and her fight/
01001000 01001111 01010000 01000101  //was lost with no ounce of hesitation./
// She'd lost herself to the allure of all /
vi- The fully-grown banyan - With sunscraper// imPerfection; dear accidentals' call. /
pride, it flourishes in the success of decades
gone. As its irksome endeavors now fade to past, it finds hope in tomorrow's loose luster.
Even the gods set at its base as it exudes their knowledge in unending expansion. It has
gained the respect to allow praise of its tales.
There is but little left until it bests the scales.// In the embrace of imPerfect design,/
// Perfection came to note and behold /
01001100 01001111 01010110 01000101 //  her desires for Perfection as untold /
// defects, and in her accepting incline /
vii°- The intertwined eagles: All confusion is //became Imperfection's perfect mold./
diminished in the sudden clarity their affinity
brings. Talons locked, they hide their fears in the other's wing and let go. As marionettes
refuse to leave their strings, so too do they clutch to their kinship. In freefall frenzy, one
locks eyes with the other. Within their gaze they find the trust that overcomes suspense
and breaks the strings. In synchronised success they pull apart and together open wings.

01000011 01000001 01010010 01000101 - To compose the hymns its trials adorn

I- The new wolf-mother:  The first emotion reflected in her eyes is that of admiration as
she gingerly devotes herself to the enigma laid before her, staring deeply into the tamed
frenzy of silver moonlight skewers that pierce the midnight green. She watches on as he
takes in the majesty of night and takes him in her care as its allure overwhelms him. She
has found her sweet music in-amongst all this
strife. Now comes his go on the scales of life. //We all begin playing in the key of C./
// It's the accidentals that define us, /
01000110 01000001 01001100 01001100  // making us more than we could be. /

Thus, in the endless cycles of life,
The boundless gift of music is born.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to font differences between browsers, this piece can only be properly viewed using Google Chrome. (29.0.1547.57 is the current version I'm on) Using any other browser may result in the shape of this piece being "off." If you are using Chrome and the shape is still off, please let me know!
This is an unfortunate problem, but thanks to some friendly advice, I'll be trying out ways in which to make my concrete poetry easier to view universally. I was too far into this when I received said advice, however, to go back and start over...
EDIT: Apparently the shape is also kept on Firefox, so that's some good news! Thanks to all the Firefox users who let me know!

---------

We begin our quest on the scales of life
To compose the hymns its trials adorn.
Thus, in the endless cycles of life,
The boundless gift of music is born.

-----------

Well guys, here it is, my biggest concrete project to date!
:iconyeeaahplz::iconyeeaahplz::iconyeeaahplz::iconyeeaahplz::iconyeeaahplz:

Over a year's worth of work went into this, so I'm really hoping it turned out ok.
I've made it so that pretty much EVERYTHING from rhyme scheme to placement has valuable meaning, so let's see who can figure it all out! :)

I wanted to make a piece that not only defined what life was for me, but also infused my love of music into it! :D
It's made up of three different segments, each of which have their own font type, so it shouldn't be too hard to follow.

The keys of the scale are: Db Maj, Eb Maj, F# Min, G# Min and Bb Maj and, of course, C Maj.

---------

Also, as a question to you guys:

I had originally done this piece far more condensed (no line spaces) however I seperated everything at the end because I thought that no-one would want to read a giant block of text. Was this a good idea, or would you rather see the condensed version which defines the shape more clearly?

---------

Now then, I think this calls for celebration!
:iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz::iconlawooplz:

IT'S FINALLY DONE!

Yeah, it seems that Chrome and Firefox use similar font settings. I'd only checked on IE, and since that one looked wrong, I'd assumed that Firefox would have a similar problem.
I'll fix that in the description, thanks! :)

Sadly it's just a jumble of slashes and words.

But that's because I'm on mobile, so no worries.

Welp, after enjoying this piece, excellent work by the way :) and tireless minutes of translating the binary to decimal to ASCII, I have deciphered the good ole ones and zeroes.

#SPOILER#

RISE; GROW; MUSE; PERCEIVE; FEAR; HOVE; LOVE; CARE; FALL

#SPOILER#

Excellent work, once again

I was hoping someone would take the time to translate that.

I kinda wanted to put in what I felt were the key parts of life as you get older, and then base the following "paragraph" on that one element. They were meant to end up being like the "code" of our life.

(PS: I'm hoping that "HOVE" is a typo on your behalf. It's meant to say "HOPE" but I might have made a mistake...)

Gotta love binary :D
I was trying to do this in my head, and I got the first word after about a half a minute.
Then I thought "Wait, someone's probably already done this!"

You sir made my day that much easier.
For that, I thank you.

(As for the Firefox thing, I'm not sure actually. I checked IE, and it didn't look right on that, so I just assumed that it would look wrong on all browsers. I might have to install Firefox to check if this is true. Thanks for the heads-up!)
